For the last several weeks, the students at South Central Elementary School have had a special visitor wandering its hallways - Cinnamon Bun, the SCES elf.
The students had to convince Cinnamon Bun to come to South Central. They did this by holding a canned food drive. With a goal of donating 1,000 canned goods to the South Harrison Community Center Food Pantry, the students at SCES brought in nearly 3,000 canned goods. So, Cinnamon Bun gratefully chose to come to South Central to reward the students for their generosity.
While at South, Cinnamon Bun was extremely busy. He spent time visiting classrooms to check on all our hard-working students - even reading some of his favorite stories to the students.
Unfortunately, we had to say "good-bye" to Cinnamon Bun today. He had one more treat to give to the students as they gathered to see him off.
